Residential Care Homes
Being physically active and exercising regularly can help you stay healthy, energetic and functionally independent as you get older. Studies have shown benefits such as better balance, flexibility, and even memory. Physiotherapy has a huge role to play in facilitating activity and providing access to exercise for this group of people.
NRK is the chosen provider of physiotherapy services to the residents of Gloucester House Residential Home, Sevenoaks.
The team provide individual assessments of need for all residents around positioning, seating and functional mobility. We work alongside care and activity staff to promote, encourage and support people to remain as able and independent as possible. This means anything from being able to roll over in bed to going for a walk outside with visiting family. We also run regular group exercise sessions and participate in specific bigger initiatives organised by the home to promote activity such as a virtual "Lands End to John O'Groats" challenge.
We can arrange individual visits to any residential care setting in our catchment. Currently we regularly visit Barnes Lodge, Tonbridge House, Holywell, Lavender Fields and Emily Jackson.
