Traumatic Brain Injury
Traumatic brain injuries are life changing and can differ significantly in severity. They often require a hospital admission and maybe a period of in-patient rehabilitation. Following discharge, we can begin to work with you straight away to ensure you make the maximal recovery. We can work with you and your family on an individual basis, in clinic, at home or any other setting in which you need to be able to function effectively.
We offer a thorough assessment to identify key issues, followed by a programme tailored to meet your needs, and developed with your involvement. This may involve hands on treatment to address movement disorders, postural issues or stiffness. It may be working alongside other therapists or with you in the community to facilitate your return to activities you previously enjoyed.
We may signpost you to other services such as driving assessment centres or employment support, as well as assistance in identifying and accessing appropriate equipment.
